The information shows that in 2021, the third batch of provincial supervision and spot checks totaled 28 batches of electric blanket products in the circulation field, of which 9 batches of products did not meet the requirements of relevant standards, and the unqualified items were moisture resistance, leakage current and electrical strength, abnormal operation, mechanical strength, structure, power connection and external flexible wire.

This spot check is based on the requirements of GB 4706.1-2005 “Safety of household and similar electrical appliances – Part 1: General requirements”, GB 4706.8-2008 “Safety of household and similar electrical appliances – Special requirements for electric blankets, electric heating pads and similar flexible heating appliances”, the protection of electric blanket products from touching live parts, input power and current, heat generation, moisture resistance, leakage current and electrical strength, non-normal operation, mechanical strength, structure, power connection and external flexible wire, Clearance, creepage distance, and solid insulation were examined.

For the sellers of unqualified products found in this spot check, the Shandong Provincial Administration for Market Regulation has instructed the relevant market supervision and administration departments to do a good job in post-processing work in accordance with the Product Quality Law of the People’s Republic of China, the Interim Measures for the Administration of Product Quality Supervision and Spot Inspection, and the relevant provisions of the State Administration for Market Regulation and the Shandong Provincial Administration for Market Regulation on supervision and spot checks.
