In mid-April, despite the recent rainy weather, the air humidity in Guangzhou was still high. Taking the Guangzhou area on April 16 as an example, due to the rain in Guangzhou on April 15, the mobile phone showed that the air humidity in Guangzhou reached 100% on April 16.

In order to truly present the comparison results of the dehumidification effect of Hitachi’s central air conditioning temperature and humidity dual control machine and dehumidifier, we deliberately chose Ms. Wang’s sister’s house as the evaluation location of the dehumidifier in the Xiguanhai community, her home and Ms. Wang’s house are exactly the same type and area, but located on different floors of the same building. For the evaluation of the dehumidification effect of Hitachi’s temperature and humidity dual control, we chose Ms. Wang’s children’s room, which covers an area of 13 square meters. The dehumidifier evaluation location was chosen in the children’s room of Ms. Wang’s sister’s house, with the same orientation and an area of 13 square meters.
The dehumidification effect of Hitachi temperature and humidity dual control internal machine and dehumidifier was compared and measured
In order to ensure that the humidity in the room is maximum, the windows of the evaluation room of the two users’ homes were always open on the morning of the evaluation day. On the afternoon of April 17, the Aiken evaluation team came to Guangzhou Xiguanhai Community. The initial temperature and humidity of Ms. Wang’s children’s room were first tested, and the results showed that it was 25.9°C and 78.8%.
At the same time, we also conducted an initial temperature and humidity test on the second bedroom of Ms. Wang’s sister’s house of the same area, and the results showed that it was 26.2°C, 76.8%.
Then, we closed the doors and windows of the two children’s rooms, and turned on the Hitachi central air conditioner and dehumidifier, among which the Hitachi central air conditioner selected the “Comfort” function, setting the room temperature to 25°C and the humidity to 50%. The humidity of the dehumidifier is also set to 50%.
After running for 10 minutes, the Aiken evaluation team tested the temperature and humidity of the two children’s rooms again, and the results showed that the temperature and humidity of the room dehumidified by the Hitachi temperature and humidity dual control internal machine was: temperature 25.5 °C, humidity 61.7%. The temperature and humidity of the children’s room for dehumidification by the dehumidifier are: 26.6 °C, 68.2%
After running for 30 minutes, the evaluation team conducted temperature and humidity tests on the two evaluation rooms again, and the results showed that the temperature and humidity of Ms. Wang’s children’s room (dehumidified by Hitachi temperature and humidity dual control internal machine) was: temperature 25.5°C, humidity 50.1%, which has basically reached the set humidity value. The temperature and humidity of the children’s room of Ms. Wang’s sister’s house (dehumidified by dehumidifier) is: 26.7°C and 61.7%.
Although the room using the Hitachi temperature and humidity dual control internal machine has reached the set humidity value, for the sake of contrast, and the room using the dehumidifier has not yet reached the set value, we let the machine continue to run. After the machine worked for 60 minutes, the Aiken evaluation team tested the temperature and humidity of the two children’s rooms again, and the results showed that the temperature and humidity of the room dehumidified by Hitachi temperature and humidity dual control internal machine were relatively stable, with temperature and humidity of 25.6 °C and 46.7% respectively. The air humidity of the room using the dehumidifier for dehumidification decreases slowly, with temperature and humidity of 27.0°C and 60.7%, respectively, which still does not reach the set 50% humidity value.
Through this “big battle” test of dehumidification effect, we found that in the environment where the original humidity is almost the same and the room area is the same, the dehumidification speed of Hitachi temperature and humidity dual control machine is faster than that of the dehumidifier. More importantly, while dehumidifying, the Hitachi temperature and humidity dual-control machine can also maintain the stability of the room temperature, making the human body feel more comfortable.
Because Ms. Wang pays more attention to the test results, she has been involved in the whole test process. At the end of the 1-hour “test battle”, Ms. Wang also described her intuitive feelings to the Aiken review team. Ms. Wang said that in the room dehumidified with a dehumidifier, although the temperature of this room was only more than 1°C higher than that of the other test room during the whole test, people felt particularly stuffy because of the high humidity. In the room where she dehumidifies at home with Hitachi temperature and humidity dual control internal unit, because the dehumidification effect is obvious, her feeling is very “comfortable” as shown on the Hitachi central air conditioning wire controller.
In general, using an air conditioner to dehumidify will cause the temperature in the room to drop.
